New parents may want information on babies and baby care including child development, sleep problems and common complaints like nappy rash, colic and cradle cap. Sleeping and crying are other common concerns.

Baby development

Baby development and growth is different for each baby but there are some common growth milestones for all babies.

Health care

Health issues that may cause concern include colic, constipation and cradle cap.

Sleep

Sleep is important for babies and parents. Sleep problems are common but help is available.

Baby safety

Keep babies and toddlers safe. Baby furniture, playground equipment, bikes, animals and car and road safety are all important.

Support for parents

Parenting is stressful, particularly with new babies, but help and support services are available.
